Here's a picture of a 1968 Gillig 501-12 school bus converted to motorhome. It has a DT466 I Engine; wish I had one more gear, however. I tow a full sized Bronco with no problem!

Thanks for the photo Stan.
YOUR COMMENTS
I would like to see pictures of a 1965 flat nosed GMC school bus.
My family used to sing & they used one as a motor home. I am interested in seeing what one looks like, since I was just a kid back then.
Thankyou,
Scott Deeter
I've owned and driven about 35 Gilligs, and about 25 Crowns, and some other misc buses too. I've dismantled about 20 buses, and saved all the useful parts. I also dismantle fire trucks.
I know a lot about the machinery, and diesel in general. Feel free to call or email with questions. I'm retired from teaching, and can generally work with a phone in my ear anyway.
have a good one
