Restored and Historic Buses at Classic Bus Depot.com

I have two diecast models of this bus. One a Foothill Transit and the other a Los Angeles MTA Silver route one. It is a nice looking fururistic looking bus. My friends and I saw one at a Cummings Yard being serviced. The mechanics had a coronary when we took pictures of it. You would think it was some sort of "Top Secret" unveiled to the public sort of thing! For what it's worth we got our pictures! We even waited long enough for it to leave the yard and pass us down the street! Much to the chagrin of the mechanics!

My girlfriend and I recently went to Los Angeles and saw these New Flyer articulated buses. Very futuristic looking and sleek indeed.

In addition to the red and silver scheme, we saw green, blue and I believe orange with silver so I would imagine different lines have different colors.

Does anyone know if these New Flyers are run on any system in the East coast?

Those MTA articulated buses are NABI's 60BRT model, they are not New Flyers. New Flyer only has the BRT DE60LFA's in Eugene, OR and in Cleveland, OH.

Nice pics but those are made by NABI. Those are the NABI 60 BRT also availible in 40 ft

We jus got our New Flyer DE60LFA's about 6 months or so ago. They are ISL powered with the Allison EP40 or EP50 Hybri-Drive system. Very fast buses and very smooth ride....although they look better without the wheel skirts.

I came across this site while looking for classic bus information.

I saw the comments regarding the new articulated buses (with wheel covers). We have them here in San Diego operated by MTD.

But if you want to take a look at an articulated that looks like it came out of a Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon movie
search for the Wright "StreetCar" RTV.
I saw one about a year ago at a transportation convention. It is big, sleek and sexy. All wheels are covered.
It is 62 feet in length, it can carry
104 passengers with 44 seated, it weighs
thirty tons (British Weight), it has the largest windshild I've ever seen and
the driver is stashed away in a seperate
closed compartment with controls looking like they came out of a 747.

The one I saw had been ordered by the transit system over in Las Vegas.
