Thought you might be interested in this photo. A 1983 GMC New Look (T6H 5307N) recently rebuilt in TTC's (Toronto Transit Commission) Heavy Rebuild Program. Bus # 8978 was the 200th bus off the rebuild line which started up in August 1995. This bus was finished in October 1996. The Rebuild Program initiated the new 3-colour paint scheme (from the old 5-colour) to increase the throughput in the paint line as well as to establish a trademark of the rebuild program.

When I went on vacation to toronto back in 2004, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that new look coaches were still being used for revenue service.I was further suprised to discover that these coaches were still being built as late as 1983!
As most vintage bus enthusiast are aware,old look and new look coaches are virtually non-existent on american roads these days.Any chance to see one of these beautiful old buses from my childhood,and still in operation , is a treat that I will always remember.
