Here are a few pictures from Chris who is a collector of model and real taxi-cabs. In many ways buses and taxis are distant cousins. Chris has owned various taxi-cabs in the past and currently owns a beautiful 1965 Checker cab.
In addition to sending a photo of his cab he also sent in some wonderful photos of an experimental GM old look from New York City that was taken by a friend.

A very rare GM old look from New York City. This was an experimental coach with a rear mounted A/C unit.

Those vents on top are for the A/C unit.

Inside view of the above bus.

Here's a diorama that Chris put together featuring taxi-cabs and a Corgi old look.

A 1965 Checker taxi-cab owned by Chris. What memories I have dodging these cabs when I was a bicycle messenger in New York in 1982.

Those two oldies sound like they've received N-series injectors, and possibly 4 valve heads. The idle's a little too high for a V-drive, as well.
