Hi!

Thought you might like some examples of true low-floor city buses in Vienna, Austria. The first is a MAN NL243 LPG, produced in Austria under license by Graef & Stift, operated by Wiener Linien.

The second picture shows a couple of MAN NL222s, operated by Dr. Richard, awaiting their next service. These are also built by Graef & Stift. Vienna is also noted to have the most environmentally friendly city bus fleet in the world!

Regards,

Steve

Hi. Have any of the blindingly ugly Graeff & Stift Vienna DDs been preserved ? - I remember seeing them in the 1970s, and thinking it would be impossible to bring one back to the UK as they were too high to go under the motorway gantries ....
Thanks. Alan Haynes | Jun 23, 10 | 11:14 am
