These are pictures of buses taken in Virginia and North Carolina.
The picture marked cat was owned by Capital area transit in NC a new look.
The one marked May 9 is RTS II 1981 bus 824 by Charlottesville Transit service in 2000 it went somewhere to Florida
The picture marked CTS 815 is still in the fleet but not in active service it is a RTS II model 6 is also a Charlottesville Transit Service bus PIC taking in 2000.
The picture marked SMTC 3501 is Safety Motors Transit Company GMC 3501 1965 waiting to be sold in 1978 replace by Flxible pictured as the rainbow bus that picture was taking in 1983 summer at the Southwest VA bus rodeo both buses was owned by Greater Roanoke Transit Company (Valley Metro Roanoke VA).
The Picture marked pen bus is a former SMTC Valley Metro bus is sporting the Pendleton Bus Lines LTD. color in 1982 the last year for the Private bus line. it is A GMC TDH 3301.
The picture Marked Mvc is a GMC THD 3714 1958 owned by SMTC later by Valley Metro the inside of the bus is good shape. It is now part of the Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum fleet in Roanoke, VA who is restoring all buses to working order. Also owned by Commonwealth are a former Valley Metro 1979 Grumman Flxible no. 189 and former PennTRAN flxible
The picture marked 3714 and 3501 are Valley Metro Bus waiting to be sold in 1982

May 11, 2006 | 1:55 pmI am looking for an old Photo of the Greyhound Buffalo Bus and the Trialway Eagle can you help me ? i have checked every where and i am having no luck.
I have been trying to find someone or some company that makes these in a Diecast Model 1/50 Scale but no luck in my Quest. Thank you and i look forward in your Reply.

Jun 18, 2006 | 2:00 pmMY DAD DROVE A CITY BUS FOR 37 YRS. ONE TYPE OF BUS WAS A LATE 1950'S OR EARLY 1960'S MODEL FORD BUS HE DROVE FOR PADUCAH TRANSIT. I CAN NOT FIND ANY INFO. ON THIS TYPE BUS. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP.

Apr 07, 2011 | 6:05 amhello all just wondering if anyone out there can help i am in process of restoring/converting a 1969 leyland leopard midmount bus fitted with a 680 diesel ,does anybody know of a power steering option/kit or a suitable retro fitup that someone out there has come across. thanks for your time john

Nov 01, 2011 | 10:31 pmThe TDH 3301 is rare. These were only "fishbowls" in name only. In reality, they were "fishbowl" bodies mounted on a rear engine truck chassis that used either a GMC 351E gas V6 or a ToroFlow diesel V6 through an Allison 741, both mounted "straight in". Suspension was "buggy springs." Eastern Cities near LA had two of these, and the some UC schools used them, as well. They only were built for a few years, as I recall.
