Updated info:

Seddon Pennine mkV1 1954

Our bus is a 1954 Seddon Pennine MK V1HR with a Mulliner B30F body which was ordred by Gisborn City, New Zealand.

We have found the first driver and he is now 79 years-old. We are still running the same engine and gearbox... so 53 years on we are pretty pleased. We now live in him full time while travling around New Zealand. We believe this is the only one left any info/pics would be great.

This is very similar to the Transport Wairarapa Ford now owned by Omnibus Society. NZ Motor Bodies also built hundreds of Bedford SB buses with similar chassis.

I am from Greymouth, New Zealand where I worked for Kennedy Bros as a mechanic, at that time we had 3 International buses, one Bedford and a petrol leyland which was ex Midland no 19.
In town there were Doug Coburn who had a 1038 White, it was a piecart in Timaru last i saw it, Doug also had 2 Bedfords, one which was built by West Coast Motor Bodies in Greymouth and what a nice bus it was.
